Peningkatan Keterampilan Menulis Cerpen Menggunakan Metode Experiential Learning yang Berbasis Kearifan Lokal

This research is classroom action research. This research aims to improve the learning process and short story writing skills of class XI.1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang using the Experiential Learning method based on local wisdom. The subjects in this research were 30 class XI.1 students. The data analysis technique in this research uses qualitative data and quantitative data. The data in this research was obtained through observation, questionnaires, short story writing tests, and documentation. The research results show that the application of the Experiential Learning method based on local wisdom can improve short story writing skills. Improvement occurs in the learning process and learning outcomes. Process improvement is demonstrated by increased student activity in learning, and increased attention/focus on learning. The increase in results is shown by the increase in the average score of students in writing short stories, namely 59.83 in the pre-action stage, 74.9 in cycle 1, and 89.93 in cycle II. From these results, it can be concluded that the Experiential Learning method based on local wisdom can improve short story writing skills.
