Pengaruh Model Experiental Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Puisi Bebas Siswa Kelas X SMK Negeri 1 Palembang

This study aims to determine the effect of the experiential learning model on the ability to write free poetry of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Palembang. The method used in this study is true-experiment using initial tests and final tests in the experimental class totaling 30 students and the control class totaling 32 students. Data collection techniques use test techniques, interview techniques, and observation. In the initial test of the experimental class, the average score was 67.2, the average score of the control class was 67. The average final test score of the experimental class was 82.1. The average final score of the control class was 72.25. This was obtained from the results of statistical calculations in the t-test, the results of t_count = 8.75 with db = 60 at a significance level of 0.05% so that db = 2.00 so t_count ≥ t_table = 8.75 ≥ 2.00 so that t_count is declared significant. It can be stated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence of the experiential learning model on the ability to write free poetry. Furthermore, in the data homogeneity test, the data obtained were F_count = 1.10 and F_table = 1.83 and it is known that the homogeneous load is F_count ≤ F_table = 1.10 ≤ 1.83. Thus, the hypothesis put forward by the researcher is "There is an influence of the experiential learning model on the ability to write free poetry of class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Palembang" proven true.
